Fingon's start in life on Órë suited him down to the ground. He was busy and important and did not have to be hero.
Life hasn't changed hugely for him, except that his lover will insist on getting embroiled in every major diplomatic incident between the Falas and Ossiriand (but it's still easier to deal with than him having (temporarily) been female). His sister is wreaking havoc in her usual style (which is to say with a lot of style but very little substance) and his brother is being as admirable as ever (and Fingon is not being sarcastic). (He may, however, feel slightly guilty about the fact that he slept with his brother's girlfriend, who also happens to be their cousin and who further happens to be pregnant with someone's child.)
The two constants in Fingon's life are his adoptive son and his favourite sister who put everything into a much happier perspective when the world of Noldorin politics gets too much and the pile of broken pencils gets too high.
